GYSO Drawing Part 12 - Ghost
Published: 2019-08-18
Introduction
Tim:
Well, well, well here we are again, yes, AGAIN. Another day for me to rant on and on about everything and nothing at all. But you are still with me in this journey, following my pathetic attempts at drawing boxes and making a complete fool of myself, but then again I don’t care what you think. Remember I told you about the mandatory fun drawing concept? This is what I am about.
Some of you get tired of seeing updates from me, and you are all like, this is bullshit, this is crap, he can’t come up with anything good yadda, yadda, yadda. You are right, but I have the freedom to do whatever I want and spew any crap that I can think of.
Thor:
I was looking forward to sharing with you what I have been up to the past two weeks but aside from drawings lines and tipping my pencils in the right direction; I got nothing much to say to you. But then, I know you are craving to hear me say something, at least I can come up with useful stuff, unlike a friend of mine somewhere. Don’t worry; keep up with Tim’s theatrics while I think of something. I’m pretty sure that nobody reads our blog, at this point I would like to
shed some tears, but someday people are going to read this, and they’ll start wondering ’where have you been all my life". Let’s wait patiently for that day to come.
What went right?
Tim:
In my last blog post, I told you that I’m done drawing boxes because at the end of the day all you get to do is laugh at my expense and my drawings that look quite the opposite of what is expected of me. Guess what? Everything is super-duper freestyle and amazing because I’m lazing around and I don’t have to think about boxes and straight lines and how to tip the pen.
How many times have you sat down to read a post or a drawing that is so damn captivating that you just can’t stop admiring the writer and then boom you find out that it was actually written by a very different person and not the one taking all the credit for it? Now my fellow melon felons, that what we call a ghost. You can do such excellent work but give all the credit to someone else. Soooo sad, don’t you think? I once saw a video of a particular president was giving a speech and somewhere along the way he was stammering and sweating profusely, this guy had someone do his speech, and he suddenly realized that he didn’t even know what he was talking about. I can make excuses for him; he’s too busy running the country that he does not have time to be writing speeches that do not matter.
When you saw that word ghost, the one thing that came to your mind was that Thor had died again and come back as a ghost, got you there, right? I already told that I’m so amazing I can twist and spin words whichever way I like and it still fits the purpose.
Thor:
My desire for this skill called drawing is starting to diminish just like a dying antelope that is kicking for the last time. Having said that, it doesn’t mean that I have stopped drawing, I will still do it. I’m always looking forward to drawing boxes and showing you how far I have come, unlike my friend somewhere who decided to give up after a series of horrendous drawings that are not worth to see the light of day.
**I did not mention you Tim**.
But it’s pretty clear that you are the only one capable of what I’m talking about.
What went wrong?
Tim:
Since I have been doing close to nothing, my mind was wondering about so many things. One of them is this train wreck of a blog. I know some of you will stumble upon it in search of something and then boom
** drum rolls**
You find absolutely nothing of great importance. But what can you do? Nothing, because this is my blog and guess what, I can do what I want, yes my people whatever pleases me is what goes. Anyway, I was just kidding around maybe I can get a ghost to write you more exciting topics that will be of help to you, and while they are at it, they can jog my mind just a little bit to start thinking out more creative and helpful content.
Thor:
I may not be perfect at drawing boxes, but I try where I can. I have come a long way, but at times, the motivation is not there. You try to draw, but it does not come out ideally the way that you expected. Maybe I can get someone to draw something for me and pass it off as mine. For once it would be great to present something so perfect that all you guys will drool over it and your eyes are gonna bulge out of their socket. But here’s the thing, I won’t tell you that it’s not my handiwork, I’ll let you imagine that I did it all on my own.
What happens next?
Tim:
I know you all have high expectations when you find this blog that promises to teach you how to draw. Let’s be honest with each other; maybe you are just as pathetic as I am at drawing, but you gotta make some effort and see if it pays off. Bad news folks, I can’t find it in me to draw anything, so how am I supposed to teach you? That’s the sad reality of things over here. I may not be able to draw, but I can show you a lot of good things that may be beneficial. So stick with me, and we see what next. Think broad and out of the box.
Thor:
For me, it’s usually more and more boxes. That’s what I do best. All you gotta do is take a deep breath, keep calm, and wait to see what I have in store for you. Why don’t we all take a guess and see what my brain will come up with? Just a heads up, don’t overthink, it may be about boxes and lines after all. I’m out now folks.
**takes a bow**
