GYSO Drawing Part 7 - Melon
Published: 2019-06-09
Introduction
Thor:
What’s up ya mad sinners, it’s ya mad boy here speaking off-the-cuff. These two weeks feel like they pass ya mad life like a mad tornado. Like, really fast. Okay, thanks for letting me do this unscripted, here’s a p i c t u r e o f m e lo n s .
What went right?
Tim:
Hey ya melon felons, I got some hot takes for your melons.
Organic perspective boxes are the devil. This was my first attempt and, as you can see using your human eyes, there is a lot going wrong here. “Why isn’t this in the ‘what went wrong’ section?” you ask, chomping on your favorite melon.
Because I kinda redeemed myself with this:
There are still some fruit here that is inferior to melons, but don’t let that fool you. I have leveled up in my ability to rotate things using my melon’s visualizing components.
Thor:
Yes! Like the penny whistle in My Heart Will Go On, the idea of using the penny whistle as an analogy is ill-fitted and will ultimately be perceived as a joke. Therefore, here’s a more straight-forward, to-the-point, off-the-custard approach of my successesses.
Here down below is a picture of the completed page of boxes from last time. It has a pseudo-profesisonal natural lightning effect.
What went wrong?
Tim:
I kinda dropped the melon on practice in the last week. I meant to practice for at least 30 minutes every day, but there was one day where I didn’t do it. I was distracted. Not by melons, somehow, but by a bonfire and s’mores. Please forgive me.
Thor:
So I feel like I have a chronological issue with expectations. I always expect a positive outcome. Right now, it’s kind of hard for me to find the old spark I had for getting the work done. So when I am getting the work done, there’s a consistent feel of dread when I don’t perform top-level.
What happens next?
Tim:
What if you were just instantly created at this exact moment and all the memories you think you have are actually manufactured? Would you be able to tell the difference between that situation and “real life”? I don’t think so. So in the light of this, asking “what’s next” is like trying to solve this question. If memory can be so arbitrary than that means the future can be as well.
Pseudo-Intellectual bullshit that isn’t thought out at all aside; I think i’m going to do more drawing.
Thor:
I’m very excited about doing rotated boxes. What’s more, I’m sad to break it to you, is that we will be back two weeks from now. The content doesn’t get more meaningful than this, unfortunately. So I hope you mad robots crawling the internet (yes, you!), and this very page, makes a good decision for your mental health by spending your time this time next week not reading some random dude’s run-on sentences and looking at unsolicited pictures of melons. Other than that, this is the page I’m going to start drawing on next.
